The training course is very comprehensive and covers all aspects of a school- leaver’s financial and practical survival knowledge
no matter what the student decides to do after school. It is straight forward, and ANY secondary school teacher can deliver it.
What you’ll receive
The Money Minds Training Manual
The primary resource for this course will be our flexible training manual that will be adapted to meet the needs of your school. It will be emailed to you directly in a zip file made up of separate files per topic. Each topic will be delivered to each school-leaving student as and when the topics are covered during the program.
Course Material
A hard copy workbook that the students can use for classwork. The students will be issued reading homework on different topics from the textbook in preparation for each session. PPT presentations and practice examples for class participation.
For Teachers
A flexible program guide to assist teachers. The class exercises will be based on set work from the prescribed textbook and other material.
Exercises
When students go on field trips or sporting tours, they will actively participate in the budgeting process for these events. This learning process will be known as “Projects”.
assessments
In order to qualify for achievement in Levels 1-3, students will have to provide adequate evidence that they have successfully completed both classwork and homework assignments that are presented to them during the program.
It will prepare teenagers for life after school and its financial implications.
It can be introduced and taught from Years 11 to 13.
It has been tailored to fit into a 10 week school term.
